FES has been appointed onto Scottish Water’s Regional Contractor Services Framework. We have been awarded a place on the Lot 3 of the Framework – Mechanical, Electrical and Non-Infrastructure Services. The work packages cover reactive and planned works, low value, non-complex operational and capital investment projects. We will deliver these services across water and waste-water assets throughout mainland Scotland regions and Western Isles (plus Northern Isles for reactive services on selected asset types). The 6-year framework attracts an anticipated spend of £500m, with £224m in Lot 3.
Our appointment will support the continued employment of existing personnel and create new positions for skilled labour throughout our delivery regions. Regional ‘Meet the Buyer’ events will be held to augment our existing supply chain, particularly in rural regions to ensure we meet the service delivery needs of Scottish Water as well as continuing our investment in the communities in which we work.
Furthermore, the contract will support the creation of new apprentice & graduate positions and allow us to provide additional mentoring placements for students and graduates throughout Scotland.
The Framework will support Scottish Water’s strategic focus to decarbonise at every opportunity in their drive to be “beyond net zero emissions by 2040”. All delivery partners have committed to contribute to this goal through demonstrable carbon reduction calculations for all works. Read more about Scottish Water’s Net Zero Route Map here.
We are delighted with this appointment and look forward to continuing to expand our working relationship with Scottish Water through the delivery of this Framework.
