Edinburgh Royal Infirmary – Renal / Critical Care
FES were appointed as Principal Contractor to reconfigure non-clinical spaces within Edinburgh Royal Infirmary into much need patient beds. The re-modelling works carried out by FES within the live hospital provided 58 x beds for renal and critical care.
The construction of these areas had to be undertaken without compromising the day to day operations of Edinburgh’s busiest hospital. The logistics of the project had to be planned with pinpoint accuracy as the only means of access to and from the construction site meant passing through the live hospital environment.
