On Friday 17th November, the team from FES was victorious in retaining their title in the Champions League of the Business Fives Forth Valley, a fundraising five aside competition to support local charities. The pressure was all on FES, being the defending champions, and the competition went to a nail-biting final, being finally decided on a penalty shootout.
FES Group also secured a £350 donation to the chosen charities of Macmillan Cancer Support and the Strathcarron Hospice. The event, in total, raised £1,600 for local and national charities.
Congratulations to all involved, particularly the individual prize-winners: Johnny Harrison (top goal scorer – 17 goals), Chris Lamont (player of the match in the final), and Alan Joyce (golden glove – only 6 conceded).
The team will now go on to represent Forth Valley in the National Final on Thursday 18th April 2024 in Glasgow.
