NHS Scotland Louisa Jordan Hospital
FES is delighted to be involved as a services delivery partner in the new NHS Scotland Louisa Jordan Hospital at the SEC (Scottish Events Campus) in Glasgow. With over 150 FES operatives and site management, we are delivering the Electrical Services, Fire Alarms, Communications, Nurse Call and Medical Gas Systems, working alongside the principal construction partners, other supply chain partners and NHS Clinicians & Operational Staff.
The level of coordination and collaboration amongst the various partners has been outstanding, testament to the professionalism and capability of the Scottish Construction and Building Services Industry Sectors. With over 500 personnel on site, comprehensive safe site operating procedures including split-shift patterns are rigorously implemented to ensure that the Government’s social distancing guidelines are satisfied.
The Hospital is being constructed as a precautionary measure to provide extra patient capacity and flexibility for NHS Scotland during the COVID-19 Pandemic. The facility will provide an initial 300 beds, with the scope to increase to 1000.
FES will also be providing full Facilities Maintenance for the entire SEC and adjacent SSE Hydro Arena for the duration of the Louisa Jordan facility on a 24 hour basis which shall include any ongoing adaptions and final decommission of the facility.
